Small Business Coaching

Small Business Coaching will provide eligible Participants with:

Access to personalised business mentoring and support for up to 12 months, connecting You to one of Transcend Services' experienced advisors who will give You guidance, coaching and other business support

Support for up to $330 (incl. GST) worth of small business start-up costs, such as business insurance

An allowance for up to 39 weeks and rental assistance for up to 26 weeks (eligibility rules apply).

Individual Participant Eligibility 

Participants must meet all the following criteria

Be at least 18 years of age at the time of commencing Small Business Coaching

Intend to operate their Business for their Required Hours each week throughout their period of Small Business Coaching 

Have had Business Plan approved by their Provider in the past 12 months

Be an Australian citizen, or the holder of a permanent visa, or a nominated Visa Holder (including a New Zealand Special Category Visa, Temporary Protection Visa Holder, and a Safe Haven Visa)

Not be an undischarged bankrupt

Not already be in education and/or employment for more than 25 hours per week

Have not received Small Business Coaching in the past 12 months, and

Agree to enter into a Small Business Coaching Agreement with the Department

Business Participant Eligibility 

Participants must be:

Business Owner of an existing micro-business (with less than 4 employees) – a total of 5, including the owner

Not currently Operating Commercially or is in danger of not Operating Commercially within the next 12 months

Be assessed as Viable by the Provider

Be either:

  • a new business, or
  • a business which is operated by an Eligible Business Owner 

Have an independent business structure

Be lawful and capable of withstanding public scrutiny

Be, or is, established, located, and operated solely within Australia, and

Be, or is, structured so the Participant has and will maintain a controlling interest over the business throughout the duration of the Participant’s time accessing the Services
